I enjoy collaborating with individuals to develop their full potential through thoughtful planning, effective communication and connecting them to the right individuals and organizations. I also want to see organizations constructively develop and enhance the experience of their employees or members.
I began my career as a marketer of corporate law firms, Davis Wright Tremaine and Perkins Coie. The second half of my 18 years in this industry, I became a coach and trainer to many attorneys helping them develop their individual, department and office plans. I also interviewed top clients, assessed their satisfaction, identified opportunities for improvement and implemented new approaches to client service.
When I left the law firm business and entered graduate school in 2006, I created Linda W Favero focused on the development of organizations and individuals. This interest grew while researching for three years how women and men struggle with the weaving of work and life, and how our four generations in the workplace respond to these challenges differently.
In 2008 my path transitioned back to my alma mater where I launched University of Oregon’s Alumni Career Services program in Portland’s newly renovated White Stag Block. My role expanded in 2017 as the new Assistant Dean of Students and Career Services to further enhance the Portland student experience by building a safe and welcoming community and ensuring all students have the resources they need to be successful with their academic pursuits and beyond. I continue to provide career services specifically for graduate students in Portland and recent UO graduates looking for employment in the region.
Beyond my professional work, I spend time raising our sons into independent, young men and supporting my husband’s work as a professor, coach and researcher at the University of Portland. In addition, I love Africans and do what I can to help rural Zambians receive access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene through WaterAfrica.
If you or your organization is interested in developing your full potential, I hope you will reach out to me!
